JOB PURPOSE:
To prepare Bills of Quantities, Material Schedule and Quantities based on Drawings during planning
phase; Assist in Tender pricing, Site Measurements and preparation of Measurement Sheets for
interim Payment Certificates of Contractors and Subcontractors; Prepare Variation Orders, Prepare
final payment certificates.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review Drawings and prepare quantity needs
- Estimate the quantity and costs of materials
- Set budgets for payments, inventory needs, and materials
- Analyse costs for maintenance and additional building needs
- Track changes in plans or constructions; update budgets
- Quantify Changes and Prepare Variation Orders accordingly
- Keep track of construction materials and inventory
- Identify potential financial or construction risks
- Prepare payments for contractors and subcontractors
- Document progress, materials, and reports on project
- Develop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractors
- Utilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimates
- Analyse completed projects to determine Variations and compare costs
